Appeal for Archival Material

As we celebrate the 60th Anniversary of our founding, we are making a special appeal to members of the public in Sligo and afar to help us to source and develop our archival material. While we have endeavoured, especially over the past ten years, to gather together evidence of our past activities, we still feel that there is a wealth of archival material lying idle in boxes and family photo albums.

At this stage, we have accumulated quite a number of posters and programmes of our productions over the years, but there are still some we don’t have. We have tickets for only a dozen shows, yet we know these were printed for many shows in the early days. We have very few newsletters that were especially popular in the early days. There are also numerous shows for which we have no photographs whatsoever.

We are looking for donations of posters, programmes, flyers, tickets, newsletters and photographs to add to our existing archive. If you have photographs that are precious to you, we would be delighted to have them scanned and returned to you.
