It’s all systems go for our production of John B. Keane’s classic play “SIVE” in the Hawk’s Well Theatre, April 2-5. At this early stage, the Wednesday and Thursday nights are already almost sold out. However, there is plenty of availability for both Friday and Saturday nights.

Set in 1950s Ireland, “Sive” tells the story of an unlikely match between the young schoolgirl Sive and the elderly local farmer Seán Dóta. Sive is in love with a young man her own age, but her family are determined to go ahead with the match, largely due to the £200 they will receive if the marriage goes ahead. What follows leads to a traumatic and tragic ending which will live long in the memory.

Tickets for the play can be booked online at https://www.hawkswell.com/whats-on/shows/sive or via the Box Office at (071) 916 1518. Group rates and student group rates are also available.

This is a great opportunity to see this giant of the Irish canon.
