Casting Call For “The Big Wall”

Local actor Bob Kelly is currently engaged as Theatre Artist in Residence at the Hawk’s Well Theatre for this year. Bob is at present writing a new piece of theatre The Big Wall to mark the 100th anniversary of the 1916 Rising.

This ambitious, new performance project will take place at Sligo Courthouse and Sligo Gaol from Thursday 26th of May to Monday 30th of May. Local actors are invited to become part of this production and to attend a casting workshop on Monday, 18th of April from 6 to 7pm in the foyer of the theatre.

To become part of the production you will need to be available for performances from Thursday 26th of May through to Monday 30th. You will also need to commit to evening rehearsals in advance of the production. Rehearsals will, however, be flexible.

Please RSVP to maeve@hawkswell.com asap if you wish to join the casting workshop or if you have any queries in relation to involvement with the production. There are only 20 places available at this workshop so places are strictly on a first come, first served basis.

Please note there is no need to prepare anything for the workshop, this is a chance for the writer and Director to meet those who are interested and it should be a fun hour. Updates about the production will be outlined in more detail at the workshop.
