Acting Course For Beginners
Ever wondered what it’s like to tread the boards? Well now is your chance! Every Monday night for 6 weeks at the Hawk’s Well Theatre you can learn all about acting. Under the skilful direction of Bob Kelly, regular collaborator with the Blue Raincoat Theatre Company, this six-week course offers a place to explore, create and be challenged – all while having fun. Suitable for adults of all ages and for people with little or no acting experience, the course will commence on Monday September 15th on the Hawk’s Well stage between 7 and 9pm. Limited capacity. About the Tutor: Originally a member of Sligo Youth Theatre, Bob Kelly went on to study theatre at the prestigious Ecole de Jacques Lecoq in Paris, graduating in 2010. Since then he has performed in the Louvre, The Abbey, and at the Royal Ballet School; he is a regular collaborator with Blue Raincoat Theatre Company, and in 2012 was nominated for an Irish Times Theatre Award for his work with them on The Poor Mouth. He has performed on the Hawk’s Well stage on many occasions – most recently in Edna O’Brien’s Country Girls – while this summer he played Cuchulainn in Blue Raincoat’s On Baile’s Strand performed on Cumeen Strand in Sligo.
